Meet The Founder
Hi! I’m Devon Gamble. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I am a devoted mother, wife, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. I attended Youngstown State University, where I earned my B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Psychology in 2013. I began my career as Probation Officer for the Cleveland Municipal Court, assisting with the court’s programs, Redirecting Our City Kids, Get On Track, and the Greater Cleveland Drug Court from 2014-2019. Wanting to focus more on philanthropy, community engagement, and development, I resigned from the court, began foundation building for Speak Out Loud, and enrolled in Lake Community College, where I obtained certificate for my Ohio Real Estate Sales License, which I earned in 2020.
While an undergraduate, I founded a student organization, Speak Out Loud in 2011. I had a mission of blending cultures on campus, to learn from others and have fun through dynamic educational events and student activities. I hosted panel discussions and I partnered with the University’s Student Activities Department for 2yrs. to host two successful fashion shows, which was rewarded certificates for Community Engagement and Student Spotlight. The fulfillment for giving back, pulling and utilizing resources, while educating and entertaining people sparked my passion for philanthropy, which led me to develop Speak Out Loud, Inc., the non-profit organization. I am excited about servicing the same community I was born and raised in. Community is important to me and I am looking forward to my future endeavors of Community Engagement & Development within the City of Cleveland.
