This site came about because I wanted to do something after a tragic event happened to my loved one, and really hit home. On August 8, 2005, I woke up just as I would any other day. I was headed out of town when my mom got a phone call. She made me stop the car and broke the news to me that my best friend committed suicide. I knew very little about the topic of suicide so I started researching as a way of coping with my grief and November of 2005 I announced I would be starting an organization to help others who are dealing with suicide in any form. I soon started a Myspace page which is still up and running and now I have this web site. I started speaking about suicide at local churches and coffee shops, one day I hope to go world wide with this. People need to know about this silent death that affects so many people. This organization was started with a background in religion, but we do not focus on religion using it only as a tool for some people to cope with the topic.
